Kuala Lumpur, 16 September 2025 — A high-level Cambodian parliamentary delegation led by Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, arrived safely in Malaysia on Tuesday to attend the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46).
At Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the delegation was warmly welcomed by representatives of the host parliament, His Excellency Ouk Chandara, Ambassador of Cambodia to Malaysia, and his colleagues.
According to the program, Samdech Khuon Sudary will join the Executive Committee meeting to set the agenda and procedures of the assembly, deliver a keynote address at the 2nd WAIPA Women Political Leaders Forum, and make an intervention at the first plenary session.
The delegation members will attend committee meetings on political, economic, and social matters, as well as the Meeting of Women Parliamentarians (WAIPA), the Meeting of Young Parliamentarians (YPA), and the Committee on the Joint Communiqué, in addition to dialogues with about 18 observer parliaments.
Held in Malaysia from 17 to 21 September under the theme “Parliament at the Forefront for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable ASEAN,” AIPA brings together the 10 ASEAN member parliaments each year to promote dialogue, cooperation, and peaceful solutions, contributing to the vision of a sustainable, inclusive, and people-centered ASEAN Community by 2045.
