Shanghai, 18 October 2025 — A Cambodian National Assembly Secretariat-General delegation, led by H.E. Dr. Chheang Vannarith, Deputy Secretary-General and Chairman of the Advisory Council, visited the Huawei Lianqiu Lake Research and Development (R&D) Center in Shanghai on Saturday.

During the visit, the Cambodian delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Zhang Jinan, Chief Communication Officer of Huawei and other management team. 

She stressed that Huawei is committed to supporting Cambodia in leveraging technology and innovation for inclusive and sustainable growth. The company has expanded its presence in the country and continues to strengthen partnerships with stakeholders across both the public and private sectors.

H.E. Dr. Chheang Vannarith noted that Cambodia’s rich culture and natural resources can be leveraged for culture-based and nature-based innovation, which could support business innovation in collaboration with Huawei.

H.E. Khuon Davith emphasized the National Assembly’s ongoing transformation into an e-Parliament. “We look forward to cooperating with Huawei to develop capacities, strengthen institutional capabilities, and enhance ICT infrastructure in Cambodia,” he said.

The visit provided valuable insights into policy innovation and digital governance, highlighting Huawei’s practical experiences, which play an important role in advancing telecommunications, ICT, and artificial intelligence development.
