Seoul, 21–22 October 2025 — H.E. Dr. Keo Piseth, Permanent Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of the Cabinet to the President of the National Assembly, led the NA Secretariat-General delegation to attend the 14th International Seminar for Parliamentary Research Services in the Republic of Korea.
The seminar, presided over by H.E. Hack-Young Lee, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, brought together delegations from 17 countries to exchange knowledge and experiences under two key themes:
1. Legislative and Policy Trends Responding to the Climate Crisis; and
2. The Role of Parliaments in Reducing Inequality.
Distinguished keynote speakers and experts from various parliaments and research institutions delivered presentations and shared insights on how parliaments can strengthen legislative capacity and address global challenges such as climate change and inequality.
During the seminar, Dr. Keo Piseth emphasized that the participation provides valuable opportunities to enhance research capacity, exchange knowledge, and strengthen international cooperation in parliamentary development. He also held discussions and exchanged views with representatives from several participating countries, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.
The International Seminar for Parliamentary Research Services, established in 2010, has become a global platform for parliamentary research institutions worldwide to share expertise and strengthen the legislative capacity of parliaments.
